Martin was a major part of Florida State’s 2019 College World Series team, hitting .315 with 54 runs batted in and 34 runs scored as a freshman. For his efforts, the outfielder was named a Freshman All-American by multiple outlets. In 2020, Martin started all 17 of Florida State’s games, and led the Seminoles with a .324 batting average. Martin played last summer for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League, appearing in 14 games. Following his high school career at Jefferson HS in Tampa, where he was one of the top 35 players in the state, Martin was selected in the 37th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.
