Jacob Southern comes to the Orlando Scorpions following a stellar four-year career at Jacksonville. Southern played 123 games over four season, driving in more than 75 runs and belting 14 home runs. Southern was a force behind the plate as a junior in 2019, throwing out 20 runners during the course of the season. The catcher is a veteran of summer baseball, playing one season in the Coastal Plain League and two years in the Cal Ripken League. Southern, who maintained his final season of eligibility, will play next season at Indiana.
