Entering his second summer with the Gatemen, the Plymouth native had a solid first season in Wareham last year, where he was used in 11 games, mainly out of the bullpen.

            Flynn posted a 1-1 record and 2.13 ERA in 25.1 innings of work, striking out 19 and walking 10. Though he was mainly seen in middle relief, Flynn also started two games and earned a save.

            As a sophomore this past spring, Flynn got off to another strong start for the Ravens, going 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA in his opening eight appearances (four starts). Through 28.2 innings, he struck out 27 against just four walks.

            Flynn was a two-time Boston Globe Player of the Year as a junior and senior at Plymouth North High School. A two-time Patriot Ledger, Brockton Enterprise, and Eastern Massachusetts All-Star, Flynn was named MVP of the state championship game as a junior. He finished as the runner-up for the Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year as a senior.

            Flynn’s success came early, as he earned a national championship with the Royals Baseball Academy in 2005.

            He is undecided on his major at Franklin Pierce.
