Nate Montgomery begins his professional career with the ThunderBolts in 2019. He signed on August 14, 2019. Montgomery was a two-year player at Tusculum University in Tennessee and batted .337 there over 100 career games. As a senior, in 2019, he hit .358 with a .434 on-base percentage, four home runs and 48 RBIs in 50 games played. He was named honorable mention All- South Atlantic Conference as a junior and Second Team All-Conference as a senior. He played two years at South Suburban Junior College and hit .346, including .351 as a freshman. Nate attended Geneva High School in Geneva, Illinois.
