J.R. is in his second full season with Ohio University. As of May 24th, Reynolds is hitting .212 in 33 at-bats. As a freshman he reached base 40% of the time in limited action, playing in just four games. Reynolds tallied two RBI's. He redshirted his first year as a Bobcat. That year he worked the team's pitchers as the Bobcats bullpen catcher. Aptly, Reynolds, a sports management major, won the Greater Catholic League Captain of the Year Award in 2008. That year he also directed his team to the 2008 Ohio State Final Four. He also led his team to consecutive conference championships. At Moeller High School, he earned two letters in baseball and was named second team All-GCL.
