One-time Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall 2010)

 

HIGH SCHOOL

Pitched and played outfield for head coach Roy Kinnan at Lake Travis High School. Three-year letterwinner. Posted school-record 205 strikeouts in 98.1 innings pitched as senior. According to stats listed on Maxpreps, led nation in strikeouts. Went 10-5 with 1.72 ERA for team that was ranked as high as second in state and finished fifth. Allowed just 45 hits, walked 40, held opponents to .138 batting average. Also hit .443 with 17 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 46 RBI. Named second-team all-state and district MVP. Played for Team Texas in Heartland Classic. As junior, went 5-1 with two saves and 1.76 ERA. Struck out 82 and allowed just 15 hits in 43.2 innings, holding opponents to .101 batting average. Named honorable mention all-state.
