Luke Dzaidos, a 6-3 right-handed pitcher from Cicero, N.Y., joins the Mainers from Binghamton this summer after being unable to do so a year ago due to injury.  A force on the mound at Cicero North-Syracuse High School, he improved on a junior season where he struck out 46 hitters in 44 innings by fanning 47 batters in 46 innings as a senior and recorded a 0.76 earned run average while garnering Second Team All-State Honors. Although being limited to just 3.1 innings as

a freshman, Dziados punched out two batters in his first collegiate inning against Liberty. He has been able to contribute a lot more in his sophomore year as he made his way into the Bearcats’ starting rotation.  As a sophomore, Dzaidos made 10 appearances with eight starts, finishing with a 1-3 record and 4.41 ERA with 34.1 innings pitched while striking out 24 batters.
