Bocchi finished his junior season with a 4-1 record and a 3.05 ERA for the Longhorns. He threw 38 1/3 innings over 21 appearances and has struck out 34. Bocchi is the first Italian-born student-athlete to play baseball at the University of Texas. In 2013, he threw a nine inning shutout for Team Italy in a win against Czech Republic at the 2013 Under-18 World Cup. Bocchi also played in the Little League World Series in 2008.
