Devin Raftery enters his first year with the ThunderBolts and third as a professional in 2018. He signed on February 21, 2018 after spending two years in the Houston Astros organization. He went 5-1 with a 2.93 ERA and three saves in 27 games for the Astros, rising as far as High-A Buies Creek. He struck out 63 batters and walked 16 in 45.1 innings between 2016 and 2017. His pro career began when he signed with the Astros as an undrafted free agent out of Nova Southeastern University in 2016. He posted a 1.20 ERA and 23 saves in 53 relief appearances over two years with the Sharks and struck out 90 in 55.1 innings with 17 saves as Nova Southeastern won the Division II national championship in 2016. He went 7-3 with a 2.42 ERA and 22 saves over two years at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Devin went to Deltona High School in Deltona, Florida.
