Salter, who just finished his second year at Michigan, came into this season chomping at the bit to make an impact behind the plate and in the lineup after redshirting in 2017.  The 6-3 backstop with a rocket arm played in 26 games starting 18 of them.  He hit .247 with 19 hits, including his first career home run, while driving in 12 RBI and scoring 11 runs. Salter boasted a .982 fielding percentage with 151 putouts on 164 chances with 10 assists and threw out seven of the 12 runners that tried to steal on him.   The young man from Bloomfield Hills, MI, played Prep School baseball for St. Mary’s in Orchard Lake, MI. In his time there, Salter was a two-time All-District player who helped his team to win the 2016 Michigan State Title.
