Prior to enrolling at Eastern Michigan University, Mike Monahan prepped at Saline High School. Long recognized as one of the outstanding high school baseball programs in the State of Michigan, the Saline Hornets, under the guidance of Head Coach Scott Theisen compiled a record of 70-10 during Mike's tenure as a member of their varsity program. The 70 victories included two conference titles, two district titles, and a regional title. Mike capped his senior year as a Hornet with an appearance in the MHSAA State Championship Game state where they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Warren DeLaSalle. A left-hand hitting catcher with excellent size, Mike hit .270 his senior year, including .357 with runners in scoring position. In addition to his prowess on the baseball field, Mike was a two-time all-conference academic team member and a four-time academic honor roll honoree. A 2017 redshirt at Eastern Michigan University, Mike is looking forward to making an impact on the Eagle program in 2018 where he is majoring in Business Management.

Born on December 16, 1997, Mike is the son of Mark and Michelle Monahan. He has one brother, Matthew, and one sister, Mickaley. Welcome to Muskegon Mike!
