Bio: Played in his first season of professional baseball in 2016 with the Florence Freedom in the Frontier League. In 5 innings pitched, Maddern struck out four batters and allowed 5 runs.

Maddern spent three seasons pitching at John Carroll University at the NCAA Division III level. He was selected to the All-OAC Conference team in both 2014, and 2015. He finished his colligate career with a combined 10-7 record with a 2.98 ERA in two full seasons. He had over 100 strikeouts in his career, and his ERA was the third lowest in the history of the John Carroll University program.
