Lettering in all four years at Wilmington High School, 6’3”, 225 pound Jackson Gillis brings size and depth to the Mainer mound. According to Perfect Game, the southpaw was listed as the top prospect in the state of Massachusetts when he committed to Vanderbilt. Pitching just under 13 innings this year, the first year bullpen pitcher had 15 strikeouts under his belt. 

As Vanderbilt is 1,152 miles from his hometown of Wilmington, Massachusetts, Gillis is excited to be playing summer ball close to home is Sanford, where he’s only an hour and a half from home.
