About the United States Premier Hockey League:
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is an American ice hockey league with over 30 organizations covering the entire Eastern Seaboard of the United States fielding teams in Premier, Elite, Empire, U18 and U16 Divisions. The Premier and Elite Divisions will provide the highest caliber of play on the East Coast fulfilling the void left behind with the termination of the Eastern Junior Hockey League and the market’s desire for equivalent level of hockey found in the Midwest. The USPHL intends to have its players from both the Premier and Elite placed in NCAA programs. The Empire Division will place players in both the NCAA and provide the host organizations a development platform for their Premier and Elite teams. The U18 and U16 are Tier I youth hockey divisions providing a development level for future USPHL Junior membership and ultimately collegiate hockey. All five divisions are sanctioned by USA Hockey.
The USPHL members have each developed a complete player development model where, at present, over 5,000 boys and girls train, compete and enjoy the sport of ice hockey. These programs go beyond the on-ice experience to include education, leadership and community service components to help foster a complete student-athlete. The member organizations believe the USPHL will provide the next step in high performance training and competition and will provide unmatched exposure to NCAA hockey programs for young aspiring hockey players.
The USPHL will begin competition in September of 2013. Keep up to date by visiting the USPHL website at www.usphl.com or the member organizations for specific information.
