"We are extremely excited to showcase our system at the 2002 CHL All-Star Game" said Aaron Bishop, President and CEO of Pointstreak, "Our Electronic Gamesheet System is the best system on the market, not only for rink operators, but for professional hockey leagues as well. In Corpus Christi, we intend to prove it's the best." The Central Hockey League, in conjunction with the Corpus Christi IceRays, has scheduled its 2002 All-Star Game for Friday, February 1st in Corpus Christi, Texas. The three-day festivities begin Wednesday, January 30th, with the CHL All-Star Banquet at the Omni Marina Hotel. The All-Star Game itself takes place on Friday at 7:00pm, Central Standard Time. This year's format will pit the most talented members of the Southern Conference against their counterparts in the Northern Conference. "With the Central Hockey League All-Star Game being our annual showcase event, we felt it was appropriate to also showcase the state-of-the-art technology employed by Pointstreak," said Steve Cherwonak, Director of Communications for the CHL. "We are very pleased to provide our fans the opportunity to enjoy our All-Star Game via the Internet and Pointstreak's true real-time scoring system." Pointstreak's "Electronic Gamesheet System" essentially replaces paper gamesheets with electronic terminals. Pointstreak uses wireless, touch-screen terminals to collect gamesheet information at the hockey game and then uses the Internet to display this information on any computer in the world. For the CHL's All-Star Game, Pointstreak's system will literally be broadcasting the game's statistics around the world in true real-time for media, fans, players, parents and league administrators to view. The statistics from the All-Star Game will be broadcast over the
Internet in real-time starting at 7:00pm (CST) on Friday, February
1st. Viewers will be able to tune in and follow the game by going
to Pointstreak's website at www.pointstreak.com/leagues/chl or through
