Paperless in Seattle: Pointstreak Welcomes Greater Seattle

Vancouver, BC - Pointstreak is pleased to announce its first installation in the state of Washington with a recent contract from the Greater Seattle Hockey League (GSHL).

"As our sales continue to grow, it is becoming clear that the hockey market is becoming more comfortable with the concept of a paperless, electronic scoring system" said Kevin Hawryluk, Business Development, Pointstreak, "Like a lot of our early customers, Greater Seattle sees that our system streamlines the process of gathering and displaying stats for players and coaches, while making it easy to oversee a league through our web-based admin tools."

Pointstreak's "Electronic Gamesheet System" uses touch-screen computers to replace a league's paper gamesheet. Instead of writing a goal or penalty down on paper, the scorekeeper enters it on a touch-screen terminal. Once the goal or penalty is entered, it is transmitted instantly to the Internet, where it can be viewed by players, parents, fans, league administrators and rink operators.

To start off this contract, Pointstreak will be in the Seattle area to run the GSHL's Spring Tournament, running from April 19th to 21st at the Olympic View and Kingsgate arenas.
