Boyd has skated for the Road Whalers for the past three seasons from 2012 – 2015. He played in 98 games, recording 63 points on 26 goals and 37 assist totaling 63 points during his time with the Road Whalers. In Boyd’s final season with the Whalers he skated in 48 games, netting 11 goals and 12 assist. During the 2012 and 2013 season Boyd served as team captain. Boyd was named team MVP during the 2012 season. Boyd helped the Whalers reach the USPHL final four the past two seasons while helping his team claim the USPHL Southern Conference regular season championship.
