Last season, Lavigne played in 23 games with the Montréal Stars and led the team to 19 wins. She ended the season with a 89% save record, the best win record and the most shut-outs of any goalie in the CWHL that year. During the 2010-11 season with the Stars, Lavigne played 9 games, recording 7 wins and 1 loss In 2009-10, she appeared in 18 games with the Montréal Stars and recorded 17 victories.
Not only did Lavigne help back-stop the Montréal Stars to their third Clarkson Cup Championship birth in as many years, she also appeared in the TV hockey reality show La série Montréal-Québec 2011, where she helped Team Québec to hoist the cup in front of over 1.5 million viewers.
Growing up, Lavigne developed her goalie skills playing with boys, winning gold at the Québec Games and a silver medal with Team Québec at the Canada Games. In 2002, she was drafted by the LHJMQ Océanic de Rimouski and took part in their 2002 and 2003 training camps. She also played men’s hockey at the Senior AA level with the Prédateur de Mont-Joli during the 2003-04 season.
Nicknamed Jen, she started playing hockey at the age of 9. When she’s not in the net, she works as a police officer.
