This is Steven Behm’s first season with the Texas Tornado. Behm started playing hockey at the age of five. His dad, Tom Behm, has been a very influential part of his hockey development as Behm’s youth hockey coach for nine years and life mentor. Behm, also known as “Behmer” to many teammates, says his most memorable hockey moment was playing in the Lions Cup tournament in Sweden as well as the 2009 State Tournament in Taylor, MI. Behm’s favorite NHL team is the Detroit Red Wings and his hockey idol is Mark Messier, former captain of the New York Rangers.
Besides playing hockey, Behm enjoys playing golf, long boarding, snowboarding, all water sports, and spending time with friends. He enjoys listening to classic rock, country music, and rap. Behm’s favorite foods are Italian and breakfast food, especially Bill’s breakfast sandwiches from the Arctic Pond Arena is Plymouth, Michigan. Behm aspires to play division one college hockey.
