Last Season: Kenny came into his second year of prep school hockey taking over as the first line center.  He was awarded the captaincy before the season began.  Matheson showed a grit and determination on the ice that rewarded him with the team lead in points.  His vision on the ice brought him the most assists on the team.  During the season Kenny used his strength to outwork players in corners and play a hard hitting game on both ends of the ice.  While his team had a hard time with injuries throughout the year Kenny remained healthy throughout the season playing all 26 games, leading the team to victories over some of the top teams in the league including the defending champions and the team that ended up winning the championship.
More on Matheson:  … recorded 9 goals,8 assists as a Junior in 26 games during the 2008-09 season with the Hotchkiss Varsity team in the Founder’s League…Just graduated from grade 12 at The Hotchkiss School.  Kenny played his first year of Midget in the 15 year old Midget Espoir league for the Webster Academy Royals and lead the team in points…his second year midget he played midget AAA for the Lac St-Louis Lions recording 18 goals and 29 assists for 47 points and 32 penalty minutes in 45 games he also won the TELUS Challenge while playing for the Lions.
