Last Season: Adam was heavily relied upon to quarterback the St-Andrews College defense core. He was put into a more defensive role last season, while being a leader on the inexperienced line of defense. Despite having his reigns tightened, Adam led St-Andrews’ defense in scoring for the second year in a row, regardless of the 10 games Adam missed due to extra-curricular activities at S.A.C. Adam finished 3rd overall in scoring for defenseman in the Mid-West Prep Hockey League and was nominated for defenseman of the St-Francis Invitational Tournament. Adam also led St-Andrews in playoff scoring, putting up5 points in 3 games. St-Andrews won the Mid-West Prep Hockey League, the CISAA and the St-Francis Invitational, all of which Adam played a key role in. More on Strumas: … recorded 10 goals, 29 assists in his first year at S.A.C in 45 games. He led his team in points for defensemen and finished 2nd in MPHL scoring for defensemen, as well as being the 5th overall leading scorer in the CISAA league. Adam also led his team in +/- in the 2008-2009 season with +29. Before St-Andrews, Adam played for the Midget AAA Lac St-Louis Lions for two seasons having cracked the lineup in 2006 as a 15 year old, by-passing the Quebec Midget Espoir league. In his 2nd season with the Lions, Adam was named Defensive player of the month for the month of February. Adam was drafted in the 2nd round of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League to the Lachine Maroons in the summer of 2008. Adam’s minor hockey was played for the Deux Rives Minor Hockey Association where he was captain of his Major Bantam AA and Major Peewee AA teams. Adam’s Major Peewee AA team was the ‘Cinderella Story’ at the prestigious Peewee Quebec Tournament in 2004 having made miraculous upsets and making it all the way to the final four of the original 64 teams
