In a game where neither team could get a cushion, West escaped with a 4-2 victory over South. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and JP Nolette's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. West was led by Nolette, who registered one goal. Nolette scored 10:18 into the second period to make the score 3-2 West. Ethan Daniels provided the assist. West forced South goalie Cody Christofferson to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Others who scored for West included Dylan Miller, Kane Toriumi, and Bobby Freiling, who each put in one. In addition, West received assists from Ross Hanson, Brian Lange, Hunter Alden, Matthew Kopperud, and Hayden Givens, who contributed one each. South did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. South was helped by Jacob Kerns, who finished with one goal. Kerns scored 1:50 into the second period to make the score 2-1 West. Nicholas Ness assisted on the tally. Matt Tweten also scored for South. West took out William Lowe III after he had made 13 saves and installed Bronson Moore in goal, where he finished with six saves and the win. West incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. South's Christofferson stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. South registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
