Denver completes comeback, beats Ohio, 17-16

The Ohio Machine could not hold down the Denver Outlaws, and Outlaws erased a three-goal deficit en route to a 17-16 win.

Denver took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Drew Snider at 0:41 in the 1st quarter. The Outlaws found themselves down 12-9 after Ohio's Mike MacDonald put the ball home at 11:29 in the 3rd quarter. After tying things up at 15-15 on a goal by Peter Baum at 8:52 in the 4th, Denver got the game-winner from Snider at 13:30 in the 4th quarter.

The Outlaws got the win behind a great game by Snider, who had five goals and two assists. At 0:29 into the second period to make the score 5-3, at 6:27 into the second period to make the score 6-5 and at 2:47 into overtime to make the score 14-13.

The teams traded the lead 10 times. The Machine took its last lead at 14:49 in the 3rd on a goal by Steele Stanwick to make the score 13-12 the Machine.

Denver bested its season scoring average. The Outlaws have scored at the pace of 14.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Denver kept Ohio's goalie busy throughout the game, and Adam Fullerton made 12 saves on 28 shots.

Denver also got points from Chris Bocklet, who also registered one goal and one assist, Michael Bocklet, who also registered four goals and two assists and Jeremy Sieverts, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Denver included Eric Law, who had three and Gregory Melaugh and Noah Molnar, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Denver were Brent Hiken, who had one.

The Machine kept the Outlaws' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan LaPlante made 17 saves on 32 shots.

Ohio additionally got points from Marcus Holman, who also registered two goals and one assist and Tom Schreiber, who also registered one goal and two assists. Ohio also had goals scored by Jimmy Bitter, who had three, Kyle Harrison, who had two and Jake Bernhardt and Jackson Place, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ohio received assists from Dominique Alexander and Greg Puskuldjian, who each chipped in one.

Denver won 21 faceoffs to 14 for Ohio. Hiken won 17 for Denver.
