Joey Sankey netted a hat trick to lead the Charlotte Hounds over the Rochester Rattlers, 14-11. Sankey got on the scoresheet 13:33 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 14:46 into the 1st and at 13:21 into the 2nd. Charlotte kept Rochester's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joseph Banno made 14 saves on 28 shots. Charlotte also got points from Mike Sawyer, who also registered three goals and one assist. Charlotte also had goals scored by Kevin Cunningham, who had three, Mike Chanenchuk, who had two and Shamel Bratton, John Haus and Michael Ehrhardt, who each put in one. More assists for Charlotte came via Stephen Ianzito, who had one. The Rattlers kept the Hounds' goalie busy throughout the game, and Charlie Cipriano made 12 saves on 22 shots. Rochester was led by Jordan Wolf, who had three goals. Rochester additionally got points from Kyle VanThof, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Rochester included Wolf, who had three, Jeremy Boltus and Kyle Denhoff, who scored two goals each and Jack Near and Kip Orban, who each put in one. In addition, Rochester received assists from Ned Crotty, who had one. The Rattlers won 15 faceoffs to 13 for Charlotte. Mike Poppleton won 10 for the Rattlers.
