Behind a great game by Matt Abbott, who had four goals and one assist, the Chesapeake Bayhawks defeated the Florida Launch, 12-8. Abbott got on the scoresheet 14:22 into the 1st quarter. Then added goal at 4:49 into the 2nd, at 2:00 into the 4th and at 11:29 into the 4th. The 62 shots that Chesapeake put on net surpassed Chesapeake's average of 50.5 shots per game this season. Chesapeake also got points from Drew Westervelt, who also registered two goals and two assists and Alex Love, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Chesapeake included Nick Ossello, who had three and Brendan Mundorf, who had two. In addition, Chesapeake received assists from Matt Mackrides, who had two and CJ Costabile, who had one. Florida was held below its usual level of production. The Launch put an average of 11.7 shots into the net per game. Florida kept the Bayhawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Phipps made 14 saves on 20 shots. The Launch were helped by Christopher Mattes, who tallied one goal. Florida also had goals scored by Kieran McArdle, Nikko Pontrello and Connor Buczek, who each put in two and Steven Brooks and Mattes, who scored one goal each. More assists for Florida came via Casey Powell, who had three and Roman Lao-Gosney, who had one. Austin Kaut rejected 19 shots on goal for Florida. The Launch won 15 faceoffs to 10 for Chesapeake. Mattes won 15 for the Launch.
