The Peoria Rivermen used a sparkling performance by Kyle Rank to take down the Fayetteville FireAntz, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Peoria's 4-0 shutout victory. The win by the Rivermen clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Ben Power had a great game for Peoria, netting two goals. Power scored at 6:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria and again while on the power play 10:03 into the third to make the score 3-0 Peoria. The Rivermen stifled Fayetteville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Peoria's offense rang up 31 shots on the FireAntz's net. Peoria also had goals scored by Dan Bremner and Connor P Toomey, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Chris Wilson, who had two, Brandon Greenside, who had three, and Alec Hagaman and Adam Stuart, who contributed one each. Fayetteville was led by Graeme Strukoff, who took four shots. The Rivermen's Rank stopped 26 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Peoria incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Parker Van Buskirk rejected 27 shots on goal for the FireAntz. Fayetteville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
