Paul Rodrigues racked up two points to lead the Pensacola Ice Flyers to a 5-1 victory over the Huntsville Havoc. The win by Pensacola clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Pensacola additionally got points from Brandon Blair, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Pensacola also had goals scored by Anthony Calabrese, Ryan Kesti, and Stephen Buco, who scored one goal each. In addition, Pensacola received assists from Joseph Holka, who had two and Josh Cousineau, Joe Caveney, and Adam Pawlick, who each chipped in one. Huntsville stifled the Ice Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Havoc found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against Pensacola's defense. Huntsville was led by John McGinnis, who scored the team's only goal. McGinnis scored 27 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville. John Lidgett provided the assist. Matt Zenzola recorded 12 saves for the Ice Flyers. Pensacola incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ryan de Melo made 22 saves for the Havoc on 26 shots. Huntsville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
