The game between Great Falls and Yellowstone was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Great Falls emerged with a 5-4 win. Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Tyler Garcia's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. The win by Great Falls clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Other players who recorded assists for Yellowstone were Mason Stewart, who had two and Tristan Henrichs, Jake Dickison, and Matt Runyon, who contributed one each. Jake Stephan made 35 saves for Great Falls on 39 shots. Great Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Yellowstone's Matz stopped 44 shots out of the 49 that he faced.
