The game between DURHAM WEST and LONDON was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end DURHAM WEST emerged with a 3-2 win. Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Charlea Pedersen's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, LONDON faces elimination next time out. Pedersen had a great game for DURHAM WEST, netting two goals. DURHAM WEST also got a goal from Samantha McKenzie (C) as well. In addition, DURHAM WEST received assists from Alexandra Maw, who had one and Natalie Wozney, who had two. LONDON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow DURHAM WEST to score on any of its five power plays. DURHAM WEST's defense shut down LONDON's forwards for much of the game, and LONDON got off only 12 shots during the contest. LONDON was helped by Lexie Adzija, who tallied one goal. Adzija scored 4:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 LONDON. Emily Bowman provided the assist. Bryce Desa also scored for LONDON. More assists for LONDON came via Ella Shelton and Sydnee Baker, who each chipped in one. Danika Ranger made 10 saves for DURHAM WEST on 12 shots. DURHAM WEST incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. LONDON's Molly Jenkins stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that she faced. LONDON incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
