Brown lifts Trenton over Wellington, 4-1

The Trenton Golden Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Lucas Brown, who netted two goals, to beat the Wellington Dukes, 4-1.

Brown scored at 3:03 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Trenton and again while 5:34 into the third to make the score 3-1 Trenton.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Wellington faces elimination next time out.

Trenton stifled the Dukes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Wellington was unable to stop the Golden Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Trenton eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Trenton additionally got points from Jordan DaSilva, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Hunter Fargey as well. In addition, Trenton received assists from Adam Clements, Danny Hanlon, and Curtis Harvey, who contributed one each and Liam Morgan and Kevin Lavoie, who each chipped in two.

The Dukes were led by Matt Adams, who scored the team's only goal. Adams scored 19:42 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Nicolas Mucci provided the assist.

Daniel Urbani made 18 saves for the Golden Hawks on 19 shots. Trenton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sam Tanguay recorded 30 saves for Wellington. The Dukes incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Wellington ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Colin Doyle was ejected from the game.
