Nashville downs Peoria, 4-1A-Game Rink 1 Thu, Mar 17, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Dylan Schmidt finished with one point to lead Nashville to a 4-1 victory over Peoria. After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Peoria faces elimination next time out. Nashville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Nashville kept Peoria's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ross Lipic made 33 saves on 37 shots. Nashville also had goals scored by Max Dorfman, Jesse Hyde, and Nathan Rieman, who each put in one. In addition, Nashville received assists from Peter Cabala, Riley McCann, Michael Redmon, Logan Orem, Trent Kulczyk, and Conor Cunningham, who each chipped in one. Peoria was led by Jason Hoehn, who scored the team's only goal. Hoehn scored 4:51 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Nashville. Aaron Siegrist provided the assist. Nashville's Ricky Gonzalez stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Nashville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Peoria incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
