Han leads MISSISSAUGA to shutout victory over STONEY CREEK

Lin Han recorded a shutout against STONEY CREEK as MISSISSAUGA picked up a 3-0 win.

With the win, MISSISSAUGA evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown.

MISSISSAUGA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Mikyla Grant-Mentis, who racked up one goal. Grant-Mentis scored 9:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Daryl Watts picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. MISSISSAUGA forced STONEY CREEK goalie Hannah Miller to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Watts, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Emily Pinto as well. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Kaelyn Johnson, who had two and Kyra Colbert (A), Lindsay Agnew (C), and Natalie Marcuzzi (A), who each chipped in one.

STONEY CREEK's offense rang up 38 shots on MISSISSAUGA's net.

MISSISSAUGA's Han stopped 38 shots out of the 38 that she faced. MISSISSAUGA registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Miller rejected 34 shots on goal for STONEY CREEK. STONEY CREEK incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
