Zehnder's hat trick boosts Twin City over Breezy Point, 6-2

Yannick Zehnder netted a hat trick to lead Twin City over Breezy Point, 6-2.

Zehnder's first goal came 5:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:41 into the second and at 16:02 into the third.

The win by Twin City clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

Twin City's offense rang up 49 shots on Breezy Point's net.

Twin City additionally got points from Tyler Nystrom, who also had one goal and one assist, Joe Costello, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Luc Kreuser, who also registered one goal and two assists. More assists for Twin City came via Ben Hersman, who had one and Jared Erickson, Alex Egle, and Trevor Woytcke, who contributed two each.

Breezy Point was helped by Reise Kieffer, who grabbed one goal. Kieffer scored 8:59 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Josh Laven picked up the assist. Christian Lenzmeier also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Jake Tomkowiak, Austin Langworthy, and Ryan Mezera, who each chipped in one.

Nathan Siclovan made 26 saves for Twin City on 28 shots. Twin City incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Wes Paupore rejected 43 shots on goal for Breezy Point. Breezy Point incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
