The win gave Kanata Midget AAA a one-zero lead in the best of one series.

Lasers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes.

In the losing effort, Green were led by Guillaume Pelchat, who finished with two goals and one assist. Pelchat scored the first of his two goals short handed at 12:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kanata Midget AAA. Jake Jurgeneit assisted on the tally. Pelchat's next tally short handed made the score 6-4 Kanata Midget AAA in the third period. Marc-Andre Lecouffe claimed the first assist on the goal, and Bryson Michel got the second.

Kanata Midget AAA had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 13 chances.

Kanata Midget AAA additionally got points from David Silye, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kanata Midget AAA also got a goal from Bennett Stockdale as well. In addition, Kanata Midget AAA received assists from Luca Nocita, who had two and Daniel McIntyre, Adam Church, Kyle Lefebvre, Cade Townend, and Justin Palmer, who each chipped in one.

CIHA Green Midget AAA also got points from Lecouffe, who also registered one goal and two assists and Michel, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA came via Jurgeneit and Matthew Grouchy, who contributed one apiece.

Lasers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Green ended with 31 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors and one major.
