Ryan Jackson gave the Hawkesbury Hawks a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Smiths Falls Bears when he scored 31 seconds into the extra period.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Smiths Falls faces elimination next time out.

Hawkesbury was led by goalie Cole Skinner, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Skinner certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.32 entering the contest.

The Hawks were led by Jackson, who registered one goal.

Hawkesbury excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Hawks' offense rang up 31 shots on the Bears' net.

Hawkesbury also got a goal from Chris Smith as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Reid Murphy, who had one.

Smiths Falls put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hawkesbury to score on any of its four power plays.

The Bears were led by Jesse Blais, who scored the team's only goal. Blais scored 14:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls. Corey Caruso picked up the assist.

The Hawks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Smiths Falls' Evan DeBrouwer stopped 29 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Bears incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
