M2 Liberty University came close to giving away a three-goal lead to M2 Arizona State University MAROON, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

M2 Liberty University led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when M2 Liberty University's Ben Freymond scored at 16:34 in the second period to put M2 Liberty University up 3-0.

Freymond and Paul Ingles provided the spark for M2 Liberty University, combining for two goals and six assists. Freymond finished with one goal and three assists and Ingles also notched one goal and three assists.

M2 Liberty University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. M2 Liberty University's offense rang up 44 shots on M2 Arizona State University MAROON's net.

M2 Liberty University also got points from Devon Docksteader, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ingles, who also tallied one goal and three assists. Tim Bierema also scored for M2 Liberty University.

M2 Arizona State University MAROON was helped by Jake Savona, who registered two goals. Savona scored the first of his two goals at 17:36 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M2 Liberty University. Mason Teuber picked up the assist. Savona's next tally made the score 3-2 M2 Liberty University with 2:02 left in the second period. Teuber provided the assist.
