M2 Utah State University outlasts M2 New York University, 5-4

M2 Utah State University and M2 New York University were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M2 Utah State University made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-4.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Gary Higgs's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

With three goals and one assist between them, Alex Herman and Higgs teamed up to power M2 Utah State University's offense. Herman tallied two goals and Higgs also added one goal and one assist.

M2 Utah State University cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

M2 Utah State University also got points from Higgs, who also registered one goal and one assist, Shaun Gibbons, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Morgan McJimsey, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for M2 Utah State University came via Rylee Orr, Cooper Limb, Kristofer Yelderman, Josh Kerkvliet, Chris Videto, Christian Vivian, and David Higgs, who contributed one each.

M2 Utah State University was unable to stop M2 New York University from sending pucks towards the net, and M2 New York University eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

M2 New York University was led by Michael Conslato, who tallied two goals. Conslato scored the first of his two goals at 12:27 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Evan Ripley provided the assist. Conslato's next tally made the score 4-3 M2 New York University with 2:35 left in the second period. John Kowalewski assisted on the tally. M2 New York University additionally got points from Hamilton Whyte, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
