Huge game by Pryor boosts Stratford over Brampton, 9-1Victoria Park Arena Sun, Mar 06, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Zander Pryor was all over the ice for the Stratford Cullitons, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Stratford's 9-1 win over the Brampton Bombers. Pryor's tallies came at 1:44 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Stratford and 5:38 into the first to make the score 4-0 Stratford.The win gave the Cullitons a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Stratford was led by goalie Alexander Brooks-Potts, who finished with 35 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Brooks-Potts will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 0.33 entering the contest. The Cullitons forced Bombers' goalies to work between the pipes, totaling 31 shots and forcing 22 saves. Eric Pitcher made two stops and Sam Procopio made 20. Stratford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Brampton power plays. Stratford also got points from Jack Scanlan, who also registered one goal and three assists, Zach Van Louwe, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Drew Gross, who also had two goals and one assist. Deven Kropf also scored for Stratford. In addition, Stratford received assists from Jack Wieringa, who had two and Joe Leahy, Cooper Stahl, Tristan Hohl, and Justin Graham, who contributed one each. Brampton's offense rang up 36 shots on the Cullitons' net. Brampton also got a goal from Nolan Regan as well. More assists for Brampton came via Wyatt Weppler and Yianni Liarakos, who each chipped in one. Stratford incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Bombers incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
