With the win, LaSalle avoided elimination to make the series score 3-3 in the best of seven series. The teams traded the lead four times and neither team could skate away and hide. Vipers kept Sarnia Legionnaires's goalie busy throughout the game, and Shayne Battler made 37 saves on 42 shots.LaSalle had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 12 chances. Vipers were helped by Nathan Savage, who tallied one goal and one assist.Savage scored on the power play in overtime to make the score 5-4 LaSalle. The goal was assisted by Beaudoin and Nathan Veres.LaSalle also got points from Beaudoin, who also registered one goal and one assist and Liam MacDougall, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for LaSalle included Owen Lalonde and Tyler Russell, who scored one each. More assists for LaSalle came via Manny Silverio, who had two and Brett Primeau and Veres, who contributed one apiece. Legionnaires kept LaSalle's goalie busy throughout the game, and Paolo Battisti made 33 saves on 37 shots. Sarnia were led by Hunter Tyczynski, who registered two goals.Tyczynski scored the first of his two goals short handed at 12:36 into the first period to make the score 1-1 . Tyczynski's next tally short handed made the score 2-1 Sarnia in the first period. Brandon Layman assisted on the tally.Sarnia also had goals scored by Alec DeKoning and Eric Marsh, who each put in one and Tyczynski, who had two. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Ryan Trottier, Jarret Marks, Derrick Johnson, and Layman, who each chipped in one. Vipers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Legionnaires incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Sarnia ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Layman was ejected from the game.
