Burlington uses big second period to beat Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 9-3

The win by Burlington clinched the best of seven series at four-one

Toronto Jr. Canadiens fell victim to a deadly Cougars power play, which ripped Toronto Jr. Canadiens for five goals

Burlington got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the gameCougars put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Toronto Jr. Canadiens to score on any of their five power plays.

Junior Canadiens were helped by Nico Gonzalez, who grabbed one goal.Gonzalez scored in the second period to make the score 3-1 Burlington.Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Nicholas Ursitti, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens included Connor Beck and Gonzalez, who scored one each. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Matthew Leon, Nicholas Jarzabek, and Jake Joffe, who contributed one apiece.

Andrew Lee made 23 saves for Burlington on 26 shots. Cougars incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Daniel Lopapa recorded 14 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Junior Canadiens ended with 51 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. Toronto Jr. Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Luca Farrace was ejected from the game.
