Oakville takes care of St. Michaels early, wins 8-1

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, St. Michaels faces elimination next time out.

Oakville were led by Michael Mannara, who racked up one goal. Mannara scored in the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville. The score was assisted by Josh Kosack and Patrick Kudla.

Blades put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Buzzers to score on any of their four power plays.Oakville's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.Blades kept Buzzers's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mark Manolescu made 13 saves on 51 shots.

Oakville additionally got points from Drew Worrad, who also registered two goals and one assist , Jackson Bales, who also registered one goal and one assist , Kosack, who also registered two goals and two assists , and Kudla, who also registered one goal and three assists. Oakville also got a goal from Peyton Reeves as well. In addition, Oakville received assists from Tyler Rollo, who had three and Paul Butler, Matthew Kellenberger, Bryce Misley, Christian Rajic, Evan Brown, and Brayden Sampson, who each chipped in one.

Brendan McGlynn made 22 saves for Oakville on 23 shots. Blades incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Michaels incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
