Penetang downs Caledon, 7-3

The Penetang Kings took home the 7-3 victory over the Caledon Golden Hawks.

The win by Penetang clinched the best of seven series at 4-3.

The Kings kept Caledon's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Procopio made 27 saves on 34 shots.

Penetang was helped by Michael Greco, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Greco scored 18:44 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Penetang. Dallin Blunt picked up the assist. Penetang also had goals scored by Matt Meher and Matt Cochrane, who each put in two and Nate Archer and Aidan Robitaille, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Craig Robinson, who had two, Braeden Dorion, who had three, and Hayden Cole, Ben Sly, and Brad Kuepfer, who contributed one each.

The Golden Hawks did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Caledon was led by Daniel Cafagna, who tallied one goal and one assist. Cafagna scored 1:17 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Penetang. Matt Magliozzi assisted on the tally. Caledon also got points from Magliozzi, who also had one goal and one assist. Randy Chen also scored for Caledon. More assists for Caledon came via Nicholas McNutt and Christian Mariconda, who each chipped in one.

The Kings' Andrew North stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Penetang incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Golden Hawks registered two goals on five power play opportunities.
