St. Andrews College outlasts Ridley College, 3-2

The St. Andrews College Saints gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Ridley College Tigers.

St. Andrews College gained the winning advantage on a goal by Corey Andonovski 13:40 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Saints were paced by Andonovski, who registered one goal.

Ridley College was unable to stop St. Andrews College from sending pucks towards the net, and the Saints eventually piled up 49 shots on goal.

St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Felix Cote and Ryan OConnell, who scored one goal each. More assists for St. Andrews College came via William Sirman, Connor Ali, Jacob Miller, and Regan Kimens, who contributed one each.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Andrews College power plays. Ridley College forced St. Andrews College goalie Cole Chapman to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

The Tigers were helped by Connor Hill, who racked up one goal. Hill scored 37 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Ridley College. Andrew McIntyre assisted on the tally. Matvey Skripchenko also scored for Ridley College. In addition, Ridley College received assists from Adam Pys, who had one.

Cole Chapman made 39 saves for the Saints on 41 shots. St. Andrews College incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chris McGonigle recorded 46 saves for Ridley College. The Tigers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
