WATERLOO downs NEPEAN in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Lexi Templeman gave WATERLOO a 3-2 (OT) victory over NEPEAN when she scored 4:22 into the extra period.

The win gave WATERLOO a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

WATERLOO was paced by Templeman, who grabbed one goal.

WATERLOO also had goals scored by Brooklyn Cole and Kelsey Dixon, who scored one goal each. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Becky Higgs, who had one and Sarah Rettinger and Morgan Dezell, who contributed two each.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WATERLOO to score on any of its five power plays.

NEPEAN was helped by Samantha Bouley, who registered one goal. Bouley scored 7:47 into the second period to make the score 2-1 NEPEAN. NEPEAN also got a goal from Blake Orosz as well. Other players who recorded assists for NEPEAN were Kristy Pidgeon, who had one.

Morgan Heinbuch-Filipowitsch rejected 17 shots on goal for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Celine Tessier recorded 17 saves for NEPEAN. NEPEAN totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For NEPEAN, Orosz was ejected from the game.
