LONDON erases deficit to stun LEASIDE, 4-3London Sports Park Fri, Mar 11, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
After the loss made the series score 1-2 in the best of five series, LEASIDE faces elimination next time out. LONDON got the win with help from a great game by Emily Bowman, who had two goals and one assist. Bowman scored the first of her two goals at 5:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 LEASIDE. Bowman's next tally made the score 4-3 LONDON in overtime. The goal was assisted by Sydnee Baker and Ella Shelton. LONDON's power play was punchless, and failed to score a single goal despite having 11 power play opportunities. Others who scored for LONDON included Aynsley Harrison and Jess Harrison, who scored one each. LEASIDE stifled LONDON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. LEASIDE were helped by Kristin Della Rovere, who registered one goal.Della Rovere scored in the first period to make the score 1-0 LEASIDE. Megan Pardy claimed the first assist on the goal, and Emma Pye (A) got the second.LEASIDE also had goals scored by Rachel Knee and Della Rovere, who each put in one. More assists for LEASIDE came via Samantha Jones, Pardy, Pye (A), and Siobhan Birch, who contributed one apiece. Lauren Dubie recorded 15 saves for LONDON. LONDON incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with ten minors. LEASIDE totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major and went 2-for-8 on the power play. LEASIDE ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mariah Hinds was ejected from the game.
