LONDON rolls over LEASIDE, 4-1Leaside Arena Sun, Mar 06, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
LONDON had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over LEASIDE. With the win, LONDON evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. LEASIDE was stymied by LONDON's netminder Lauren Dubie, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. Despite the solid performance, Dubie will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.2 entering the contest. LONDON was paced by Ella Shelton, who finished with one goal. Shelton scored 5:59 into the first period to make the score 2-0 LONDON. LONDON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LEASIDE to score on any of its three power plays. LONDON kept LEASIDE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Danielle Toland made 35 saves on 39 shots. LONDON also got a goal from Lexie Adzija as well. More assists for LONDON came via Emily Bowman, Grace Donaldson, Nicole Pateman, Sydnee Baker, and Natalie Warecki, who each chipped in one. LEASIDE did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. LEASIDE was led by Megan Pardy, who scored the team's only goal. Pardy scored 15:33 into the third period to make the score 3-1 LONDON. Olivia Kariunas (A) assisted on the tally. LONDON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
