LEASIDE gutted out a close 3-2 win against LONDON.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Siobhan Birch secured the win for LEASIDE with a goal in the third period.

The win gave LEASIDE a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

LEASIDE was led by Birch, who registered one goal. Birch scored 19:07 into the third period to make the score 3-2 LEASIDE. Bronte Mutukistna provided the assist.

LEASIDE's offense rang up 34 shots on LONDON's net.

LEASIDE also got points from Kristin Della Rovere, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Emma Pye (A), who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for LEASIDE were Cynthia Cavanagh (C), who had one and Megan Pardy, who had two.

LONDON was helped by Lexie Adzija, who finished with one goal. Adzija scored 9:39 into the second period to make the score 1-0 LONDON. Sydnee Baker also scored for LONDON. In addition, LONDON received assists from Bryce Desa and Ella Shelton, who contributed one each.
