DURHAM WEST uses early goal to top ETOBICOKE, 2-0

Jaden Head gave DURHAM WEST the lead in the first period, and ETOBICOKE was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-0.

A goal 3:30 into the first period by Head proved to be the game winner, and powered DURHAM WEST to the victory. Maria Dominico picked up the assist.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, ETOBICOKE faces elimination next time out.

DURHAM WEST was sparked by Head, who had one goal.

DURHAM WEST excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

DURHAM WEST also got a goal from Natalie Wozney as well. More assists for DURHAM WEST came via Alexandra Maw and Charlea Pedersen, who contributed one each.

ETOBICOKE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow DURHAM WEST to score on any of its three power plays.

Tera Hofmann rejected 20 shots on goal for DURHAM WEST. DURHAM WEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Susannah Dunn recorded 27 saves for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
