TORONTO rips BLUEWATER, 4-1

TORONTO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over BLUEWATER.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, BLUEWATER faces elimination next time out.

TORONTO was led by Tori Haywood, who finished with one goal. Haywood scored 8:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO. Lauren Ianni provided the assist.

TORONTO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five BLUEWATER power plays. TORONTO kept BLUEWATER's goalie busy throughout the game, and Holly Scott made 36 saves on 40 shots.

TORONTO also had goals scored by Avery Mitchell, Camryn Tait, and Neve Van Pelt, who each put in one. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Sabrina Repaci (A), Celine Frappier (C), Taylor Baker (A), Blaire Allison, and Emma Low-A-Chee, who each chipped in one.

BLUEWATER was led by Bridgid Goris, who scored the team's only goal. Goris scored 3:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BLUEWATER.

Stephanie Neatby made 22 saves for TORONTO on 23 shots. TORONTO incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. BLUEWATER incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
