Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as STONEY CREEK defeated CAMBRIDGE in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO).

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, CAMBRIDGE faces elimination next time out.

Team could not crack STONEY CREEK's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage.

CAMBRIDGE was led by Alyssa Chiarello (A), who grabbed one goal and one assist. Chiarello (A) scored 19:31 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Kati Tabin assisted on the tally. Others who scored for CAMBRIDGE included Teagan Gartley and Annie Berg, who scored one goal each. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Shelby Wood, Morgan Rolph (A), and Rachael Irvine, who each chipped in one.

STONEY CREEK's Hannah Miller stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that she faced. STONEY CREEK incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Alexx Ridding made 36 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 39 shots. CAMBRIDGE incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
